TNT stands for "Tried N True". This is a ministry that seeks to serve the diverse population of those age 55 and above  who come from varied experiences and ethnicities. Since our goal, then, is to provide something for everyone, our ministry  offerings include:

  • Opportunity for spiritual growth through weekly Bible study geared toward the more mature learner offered during the  day as a convenience for those who are unable to attend an evening study.
  • Bi-monthly social events which frequently include luncheons, movies, vocalists, or speakers.
  • Quarterly day trips to different venues: gardens, state parks, wildflower sites, museums, etc.
  • Places of Local History: The Heritage House, The Percheron Horse Ranch and Auto Exhibit, The Cooper Fender Guitar  School and Exhibit, The Jensen-Alvarado Ranch, and others.
  • Education events pertaining to health and financial issues important to older adults.
  • Special outings such as plays, musicals, other fine arts events and overnight tours.
  • Short Term Mission Opportunities for 50+ adults.
  • Shepherding Ministry to the sick and shut-in which provides a way for our congregation to keep in touch with those  who are unable to attend worship services or mid-week study.

Since TNT is part of the overall ministry of First Baptist Church, those involved in TNT are also actively involved in  Sunday worship, study, and other areas of ministry in our church.
